Alan G. Wandalowski, Esq., serves as Chief Planning Officer at Kathmere.  Having practiced law for over 20 years, he has worked closely with high net worth clients on their estate and business planning. Alan has extensive experience with advanced planning strategies, including, Grantor Trusts, Spousal Limited Access Trusts (SLATs)  Irrevocable Life Insurance Trusts (ILITs), Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (GRATs), Charitable Trusts, as well as wealth transfer and business succession strategies involving Family Limited Partnerships, LLCs, real estate, other business interests, and retirement benefits. In his role at Kathmere, Alan works closely with the financial advisor teams and clients’ other advisors, such as attorneys and CPAs, to guide them with respect to their estate and tax planning.

A 1996 graduate of St. Joseph’s University, and after earning his J.D. from Law School, Alan was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in 2001.  While a member of the Trusts and Estates department of a national law firm based in Philadelphia, he pursued an LL.M in Taxation from Villanova University, which was awarded to him in 2007.  Prior to joining Kathmere, Alan was a Partner and Chair of the Trusts and Estates Department at a Doylestown based law firm, which focused its practice on serving family owned and closely held businesses, including the owners’ personal estate planning needs.  Active in community and professional organizations, Alan was the President of the Bucks County Estate Planning Council and Chair of the Probate and Estates section of the Bucks County Bar Association.

Personal

Alan was a member of the St. Joseph’s University golf team.   When not on the golf course, Alan can be found playing pickleball with his wife, Sue, attending sporting events with his son, Owen, or on the slopes of Mad River Glen with his daughter, Molly. In addition, he enjoys reading a good book and dinners with family and friends. Alan resides in the Lehigh Valley.
